One of the objectives of this scheme is to create pollution free environment and create awareness among people. Under this scheme, a grant of up to Rs. 12,000 is given to those who do not have toilets at home. But many people don't know how they can apply for this toilet scheme grant. Due to which various kinds of speculations are being created among the public about how to apply for the grant for construction of toilets under this scheme. And so today we are going to discuss how you can apply for grant under Pradhan Mantri Sauchalay Yojana, what are the documents required for application etc.

You can apply online mode at home by following few simple steps for applying for grant for construction of toilets under Pradhan Mantri Shouchalaya Yojana.

1. For this you first need to visit the official website of Swachh Bharat Mission https://swachhbharatmission.gov.in/sbmcms/index.htm.

2. Click on the Application Form For IHHL option at the bottom of the home page of this website.

3. Now on the page that will appear in front of you, click on the Citizen Registration option and fill in your phone number, name, gender (Male / Female / Transgender), address, your state name correctly for registration and finally fill in the security code and click on the submit option.

4. You will get a notification from the website if the registration process is completed properly. It will contain your login ID (your phone number) and password (the last four digits of your phone number).

5. Read the notification carefully and click on Ok option.

6. Then you need to login with your login ID (your phone number) and password (last four digits of your phone number).

7. Then on the new page that will appear in front of you, first you need to change your password (the last four digits of your phone number). In that case, you have to enter the last four digits of your phone number in the Old Password option, a password of your choice in the New Password option and your new password in the Confirm Password option. Then click on Change Password option and your password will be changed.

8. You will get a notification from that website when the password is changed. Then click on the Home option in that notification.

9. Then you will see all your information on the web page that will appear in front of you. You have to click on the menu bar on the left side of that page.

10. After clicking on the menu bar, many options will appear in front of you, from which you have to click on the New Application option.

11. By clicking on the above option, the specific application form for toilet project will appear before you.

12. Then you have to select your state, district, block, gram panchayat, village, your home area accurately.

13. Then fill your name, aadhaar number correctly and verify the aadhaar number.

14. On completion of Aadhaar verification fill all the details correctly including your father or husband's name, gender (male/female/transgender), category (APL/ BPL), sub category, valid mobile number, valid email address and address.

15. Then fill all your bank account details correctly. First you. You have to enter your IFSC code correctly, then you will see the bank name, branch, address information correctly on the screen. Then enter your bank account number correctly.

16. After uploading the required documents and clicking on the Apply option, your application will be submitted correctly.

17. Once the form is submitted you will get an ID number which must be noted down for future reference.

From the official website of Swachh Bharat Mission https://swachhbharatmission.gov.in/sbmcms/index.htm you can check the status of your application i.e. whether you will get the grant or not.

1. For this you have to go to Application Form For IHHL option and login through login id and password.

2. Then you can see the current status of your application by clicking on the View Application option from the options that you will get by clicking on the menu button on the left side of the web page that will appear in front of you.
