The Amazon Prime original series Hush Hush bears the same testimony. Apart from a female-led cast, the off-camera team boasts of a group of talented women, who bring the story to life. Shikha Sharma wrote the story with the dialogues written by Juhi Chaturvedi. Isha Danait is the associate producer and Antara Banerjee is a co-producer. Sharma and Chandra, who is also the director, are executive producers. And this is the tip of the iceberg. One look at the achievements and we can confidently say that if there is any show that makes a successful attempt to change the gender-based narrative without too much brouhaha, it is Hush Hush.

And that partially spills over into the script of the web show and its characters. The seven-episode series deals with the lives of four friends - a powerful lobbyist Ishi Sanghamitra (Juhi Chawla), a former investigative journalist Saiba Tyagi (Soha Ali Khan), a self-made fashion designer Zaira Sheikh (Shahana Goswami) and a housewife trapped in society. Dolly Dalal (Krittika Kamra). As their privileged world turns dark and dangerous they find themselves hurtling down a rabbit hole of lies, deceit and secrecy. Their lives are turned upside down when an intelligent police officer Geeta Tehlan (Karisma Tanna) sets out to unravel the mystery involving Ishi's childhood friend Meera Yadav (Ayesha Jhulka).
