Achyuta Rama Rao (Nara Rohit) "Achyuth" and Ananda Vardhan Rao (Naga Shaurya) "Anand" are brothers. One is an HRM and the other a medical representative. Because of their ego problems, both brothers are not having good relations with each other, but in front of others they act as caring brothers. Once in a treat which is given by Achyuth for buying a new car, they have an argument at the restaurant and talk about one Jyo and are caught by their respective wives. After the dinner when at home their wives ask them about Jyo simultaneously, they cover up with lies saying their brother was in love with Jyo and blame each other. After that incident both brothers meet at night in the portico of their home. They remember their past, Jyothsna Kumari, a.k.a. Jyo (Regina Cassandra) is a dental student who rents their penthouse with her father Surya Narayana Murthi, a.k.a. Sudoku Murthi (Tanikella Bharani).

After a big start on day one, Jyo Achyuthananda did way better than many recent releases on Onam. The movie minted around Rs 2.4 crore ($349000) in the first weekend since its release in the US.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted out the numbers: “Telugu film #JyoAchyuthananda packed a punch in USA… Had EXCELLENT trending over the weekend… Collected $ 349,236 [₹ 2.34 cr]… contd.” Later adding the figures of the “Telugu film #JyoAchyuthananda on Thu $ 30,863, Fri $ 92,143, Sat $ 151,103, Sun $ 75,127. Total: $ 349,236 [₹ 2.34 cr] @Rentrak.” Directed by Srinivas Avasarala, the movie also is likely to cross half million dollars run by next weekend.
